Weekend Homework
Weather Map Project
Parents,
Students are to create a weather map to present on Monday, September 22, 2013. They were given a bag of the following materials: a strip of weather symbols, a script and a map of the U.S. Students may choose to use the map of the U.S. and weather symbols or draw their own on a poster board, construction paper, computer paper, etc. Weather maps need to have weather symbols (at least 5 different symbols), a key to show what each symbol represents, a compass rose and their script ready to go. With their script students will become meteorologists and give their peers a weather report! Please take this opportunity to work with your child on this fun project.

Mapa del tiempo
Estimados padres,
Los estudiantes van a crear un mapa del tiempo para presentar el lunes 22 de septiembre 2013. Cada estudiante recibió los siguientes materiales: símbolos del tiempo, un guion y un mapa de los Estados Unidos. Tendrán la oportunidad de usar los materiales que les di o dibujar su propio mapa y símbolos en papel de construcción o poster. Los proyectos tienen que incluir por lo menos 5 diferentes símbolos del tiempo, un clave para explicar lo que significa cada símbolo, los direcciones cardinales y el guion listo para presentar. Los estudiantes serán meteorólogos para el día y presentarán su mapa. Favor de tomar esta oportunidad de trabajar con tu hijo(a) en este proyecto divertido.
